Muna Issa Welcomes IAAF World Relay Teams as Breezes Bahamas Hosts Athletes

Nassau, Bahamas (PRWEB) May 30, 2014

During the weekend of May 24- 25, Breezes Resort and Spa in Nassau, Bahamas, served as the official athlete village for the IAAF World Relays 2014, an international annual track and field sporting event which event brought together the best athletes in the world.

With over 500 participants staying at the 391-room Super-Inclusive resort, special accommodations were made for these elite runners. Not only were they the first guests to sleep on brand new mattresses (as part of the hotel’s refurbishment) but the dining room also served specially prepared meals that that were both familiar to the athletes from Great Britain, Italy, Germany, France, Kenya, Nigeria, Belgium, Jamaica, Japan, Barbados, and the U.S., and were protein and carbohydrate rich, as the sprinters needed.

“It was an incredible honor to have hosted this exclusive group,” said Muna Issa, vice president, operations at SuperClubs and longtime supporter of the Jamaica team. “We like to think we played a hand in the world records set, as all of the winning teams stayed at Breezes Resorts.”
