National Association of Professional Women Announces Jean M. Thunker, LMT, Owner of Still Water Massage, a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year

NAPW honors Jean M. Thunker as a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Thunker is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in health and wellness. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with nearly 700,000 members and over 200 Local Chapters.



“I always had one goal for my career, which was to help people relax and relieve their stress-related pain,” says Ms. Thunker, who has been a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in the state of Nebraska for nearly ten years. In her pursuit to provide a refuge where people can escape from the stresses of daily living, Ms. Thunker opened Still Water Massage a decade ago. Since then, Still Water Massage has provided hundreds of clients much-needed relief from a multitude of ailments, including back pain, anxiety, weak tight muscles, depression and anxiety, poor circulation and migraines.



“My main thing is doing massages, but I’m always telling my clients to relax, get into the tub and have a time out,” says Ms. Thunker, who is an expert in rejuvenating her clients. Her number-one goal is to improve people’s health and relieve their stress using techniques such as Swedish, neuromuscular and lymph massage, as well as foot detox and infrared sauna treatments.



Other effective treatments are available, including lymph drainage therapy, foot reflexology, paraffin bath and neuromuscular therapy, all used to assist in relieving clients’ complaints. Ms. Thunker received her Associate of Science degree in General Studies from Mid Plains Community College. She is currently involved with the Nebraska Farm Bureau and Grow Nebraska. Ms. Thunker generously contributes to her community’s local schools, F.F.A., 4H and her church.
